💬 Workshop Description

Being a good communicator isn’t just about talking — it’s about listening to understand. 👂

In this fun and reflective communication skills workshop for kids, children explore the art of active listening and empathy through playful games, partner storytelling, and team reflections. Using engaging activities like Telephone Story and Pass the Picture, kids experience how messages change when we don’t truly listen — and how focus and patience can make all the difference.

Through guided discussions and creative pair work, children learn to pause before responding, notice others’ feelings, and develop empathy in simple, everyday conversations. By the end of the session, they’ll begin to understand that listening is not just a skill — it’s an act of care and connection. 💛

This workshop is the 2nd session in the 4 workshop series on Communication Skills — this session builds empathy and thoughtful listening, essential for collaboration and storytelling in upcoming workshops.

🧩 Session Plan

1. Warm-Up & Listening Game (15 mins)
We’ll start with a quick and fun icebreaker — introducing kids to the idea that listening takes more than just hearing words. They’ll play a simple yet powerful activity that reveals how attention changes everything.

2. Partner & Group Activities (60 mins)
Through games like Telephone Story and Pass the Picture, kids will notice how information changes when we lose focus. They’ll also try story-building in pairs, learning to listen carefully to their partner before adding their part.

3. Reflection Circle (15 mins)
The session wraps up with a group reflection where kids share what they discovered about empathy, patience, and listening. Facilitators will guide them to see how good listening leads to better teamwork, friendships, and understanding others’ feelings.

💛 Important Instructions

• Parents are requested to drop off and pick up after the session. Limited waiting area outside the studio; no waiting inside EuroKids reception or classrooms.
• Please arrive 5–10 minutes early so your child can settle comfortably.
• Bring a water bottle and dress in comfortable clothes — we’ll be moving around and playing!
• Ensure your child eats before the session; there won’t be a snack break.
• Our studio is on the 2nd floor inside EuroKids Preschool, Sector 50, Gurugram. If you need help finding us, just ask the EuroKids staff or call our team.
• If you’d prefer that your child’s photos not be shared on social media, please let us know upon arrival.

🔁 Cancellation Policy

• If you can’t make it and let us know more than 24 hours before, we’ll provide you credit for another workshop within 60 days or allow transfer to another child of suitable age. 
• Cancellations made within 24 hours or no-shows are non-refundable, as facilitators and materials are arranged in advance.
