This Diwali, let your child celebrate the Festival of Lights by creating their very own Paper Lakshmi Idol! ✨In this fun, hands-on workshop, children will explore their creativity while discovering the story and significance of Goddess Lakshmi and why we worship her during Diwali.

The session begins with a short storytelling segment—supported by engaging visuals—introducing kids to the values of prosperity, kindness, and gratitude that Goddess Lakshmi represents. Then, through step-by-step guidance, children will design and decorate their own beautiful paper idol using paper, embellishments, and festive craft materials.

This joyful activity encourages imagination, focus, and fine motor skills while giving kids a sense of pride in creating something meaningful for the festive season. By the end of the session, each child will take home a vibrant Lakshmi idol to brighten up their Diwali celebrations!

Session Plan:

Storytelling & Introduction to the Theme (15 minutes)

The session will begin with a warm welcome and introduction to the story of Goddess Lakshmi and the significance of Diwali. Children will learn about the values of prosperity, kindness, and gratitude that Goddess Lakshmi represents.

Hands-On Activity – Creating the Paper Lakshmi Idol (90 minutes)

Facilitators will show a sample Paper Lakshmi Idol and explain each step involved in its creation. Materials like paper cutouts, embellishments, and decorative items will be distributed. Children will cut, fold, and embellish their idols using creative techniques, guided by facilitators at every step.

Closing & Group photo (15 minutes)

Once the idols are ready, children will come together to showcase their creations and share what they enjoyed most about the workshop. At the end we’ll take a group photo with all participants and their beautiful Lakshmi idols.

💛 Important Instructions:

• Please make sure your child eats well before the session — we’ll be busy crafting and won’t have a snack break.
• Bring along a water bottle to stay refreshed.
• Dress your child in comfortable clothes — things might get a little sparkly!
• Arrive 5–10 minutes early so your child can settle in comfortably before we start.
• Parents are requested to drop off and pick up after the session. Limited waiting outside the studio; no waiting inside EuroKids reception or classrooms please.
• We are located on the 2nd floor inside EuroKids Pre-School premises. If you have trouble finding us, just ask the EuroKids staff or call our team — we’ll be happy to guide you.
• If you’d prefer that your child’s photos not be shared on social media, simply let us know when you arrive.
