💛 Workshop Description:

In this colourful session from our Inspired by the Masters Series, children will recreate a simplified version of Paul Klee’s iconic work Senecio (1922) — a playful portrait famous for its geometric style and vibrant warm hues.

Paul Klee, a celebrated Swiss-German artist, often blended imagination with abstraction. Senecio stands out for how it turns a human face into a mosaic of circles, squares, and bold colour blocks — making it perfect for young artists to explore shapes, symmetry, and expressive colour play.

To make the experience fun and age-friendly, children will receive a printed artwork inspired by a simplified version of Senecio. On this, they will paint and create textures, discovering how simple shapes and colours can come together to create expressive art.

With guided steps, kids will experiment with warm tones, bold lines, and geometric balance. By the end, they will take home their own striking Senecio portrait — bright, expressive, and uniquely theirs!

Medium: Paints on thick 300 GSM paper

💛 Session Plan:

Klee Kickoff (15 mins): Kids learn about Paul Klee, the story behind Senecio, and how he used shapes and colours to create art.

Create Your Masterpiece (90 mins): Children paint over a printed outline, exploring colour blocks, simple shading, and geometric forms to create their own Senecio-inspired portrait.

Wrap up & Group Photo (15 mins): Kids showcase their artwork, share what they enjoyed about Klee’s playful style, and end with a cheerful photo!

💛 Important Instructions:

1. Parents are requested to drop off and pick up after the session.
2. Limited waiting outside our studio classroom; no waiting inside EuroKids reception or classrooms.
3. Please arrive 5–10 minutes early so your child can settle in comfortably.
4. Carry a water bottle and dress your child in comfortable clothes — it might get a little dirty!
5. Make sure your child eats well before the session, as there won’t be a snack break.
6. Workshops run even with 1 child. If your kid prefers a group, just ask us about sign-ups before registering.
7. If you’d prefer your child’s photos not to be shared on social media, simply inform us when you arrive.
8. We’re located on the 2nd floor inside EuroKids Pre-School. If you face any difficulty, just ask the EuroKids staff or call us — we’ll be happy to guide you.

Cancellation & Refund Policy:

• If you can’t make it and let us know at least 24 hours in advance, we’d be happy to provide a credit to book another workshop within 60 days. You may also transfer your spot to another child well before 24 hours’ notice.
• Last-minute cancellations (less than 24 hours) or no-shows are non-refundable, as materials and facilitators are planned in advance.
