💛 Workshop Description:

In this inspiring session from our Inspired by the Masters Series, children will recreate a simplified version of Paul Klee’s Castle & Sun (1920) — an artwork celebrated for its beautiful use of geometric forms and bold, harmonious colours.

Paul Klee, a renowned Swiss-German artist, was known for turning simple shapes into magical, dreamlike worlds. Castle & Sun became famous for how it transformed everyday shapes into a glowing, imaginative cityscape — a perfect introduction for young artists to explore abstraction and colour play.

Children will be given a printed base of the artwork, designed especially for kids. On this, they will build their own simplified version, learning how shapes, lines, and colours work together just like in Klee’s masterpieces.

Through guided steps, kids will explore vibrant shades, geometric composition, and playful blending techniques. By the end, they will create their own luminous Castle & Sun artwork — expressive, bold, and uniquely theirs!

Medium: Paints on 300 GSM paper

💛 Session Plan:

Klee Kickoff (15 mins): Kids will discover who Paul Klee was, why his art feels so colourful and imaginative, and what makes Castle & Sun a timeless favourite.

Create Your Masterpiece (90 mins): Children will work on a printed outline and create their own simplified version using bright colours, simple shapes, and step-by-step painting techniques.

Wrap up & Group photo (15 mins): Children will present their artwork, reflect on what they enjoyed about Klee’s style, and wrap up with a cheerful group photo!

💛 Important Instructions:

1. Parents are requested to drop off and pick up after the session.
2. Limited waiting outside our studio classroom; no waiting inside EuroKids reception or classrooms.
3. Please arrive 5–10 minutes early so your child can settle in comfortably.
4. Carry a water bottle and dress your child in comfortable clothes — it might get a little dirty!
5. Make sure your child eats well before the session, as there won’t be a snack break.
6. Workshops run even with 1 child. If your kid prefers a group, just ask us about sign-ups before registering.
7. If you’d prefer your child’s photos not to be shared on social media, simply inform us when you arrive.
8. We’re located on the 2nd floor inside EuroKids Pre-School. If you face any difficulty, just ask the EuroKids staff or call us — we’ll be happy to guide you. 

Cancellation & Refund Policy:

• If you can’t make it and let us know at least 24 hours in advance, we’d be happy to provide a credit to book another workshop within 60 days. You may also transfer your spot to another child well before 24 hours’ notice.
• Last-minute cancellations (less than 24 hours) or no-shows are non-refundable, as materials and facilitators are planned in advance.
