A Splash of Colour, Culture & Creativity! 🎨

Tie & Dye isn’t just about patterns — it’s about patience, play, and the magic of discovery. In this hands-on fabric art workshop, kids will dive into the world of  Bandhani from India and Shibori from Japan and— two ancient crafts that use simple folds, knots, and dyes to create extraordinary designs.

Guided by our facilitators, children will learn how to fold, tie, and dye fabric using traditional methods. As the colors set and the threads are untied, they’ll watch their plain cloths transform into vibrant masterpieces full of surprise! Along the way, kids will learn about the science behind dyeing, the culture of Indian artisans, and how art and tradition weave together.

It’s a joyful, sensory experience where curiosity meets creativity — and every pattern tells its own story. 🌈✨

🪡 Session Plan

1. Introduction to Tie & Dye (20 minutes)
We’ll start with a fun audio-visual and storytelling session exploring how crafts like Bandhani and Shibori have been practiced for centuries. Kids will learn about the people, process, and science behind this art — and get inspired to create their own colorful fabric stories.

2. Get Hands-On: Fold, Tie & Dye (90 minutes)
Each child will receive pieces of fabric and threads to create their designs. Guided step-by-step, they’ll explore different folding and tying patterns before dipping their fabric into vibrant dyes. The most exciting part? Unfolding it to reveal the magical patterns within!

3. Wrap-Up & Reflection (10–15 minutes)
We’ll review what we learned, admire each other’s creations, and take a quick quiz to reinforce key concepts. The workshop ends with celebration, appreciation, and a fun group photo — because every piece is a masterpiece! 🌸

💛 Important Instructions

• Parents are requested to drop off and pick up after the session.
• Limited waiting outside our studio classroom; no waiting inside EuroKids reception or classrooms.
• Please arrive 5–10 minutes early so your child can settle in comfortably.
• Carry a water bottle and dress your child in comfortable clothes — it might get a little painty!
• Make sure your child eats well before the session as there won’t be a snack break.
• We’re located on the 2nd floor inside EuroKids Pre-School. If you face any difficulty, just ask the EuroKids staff or call us — we’ll be happy to guide you.
• If you’d prefer your child’s photos not to be shared on social media, simply inform us when you arrive.

🔄 Cancellation & Refund Policy

• If you can’t make it and let us know at least 24 hours in advance, we’d be happy to provide a credit to book another workshop within 60 days. You may also transfer your spot to another child well before 24 hours’ notice.
• Last-minute cancellations (less than 24 hours) or no-shows are non-refundable, as materials and facilitators are planned in advance.
